  • Principal's February Message

Posted by Mrs. Dvorchak at 2/2/2017 9:00:00 AM

Thank you for attending our Open House on January 26. It is truly a special night that allows our students and staff to showcase the amazing work of our students. It was great to see so many of you there! We appreciate our continued partnership in your child’s education.

On February 8, SFCP will host our Science Fair from 6:00-8:00. You can plan to attend this community event even if you didn’t complete a project for the fair as we will have LOTS to see and do! The Book fair will be in the LRC! Please stop by and pick up a great new read. In addition, we will have Community Partner

STEM sessions in the gym from 7:00-8:00 and Prairie Teacher STEM Demos in the 4th grade pod. It will be an amazing event! See you there.

I hope many of you are planning to attend our Prairie Adult Social, Prairie-Bition. It will be held on Saturday, March 18 at Elements and will be a fantastic opportunity to have some fun and support Prairie School. It is always fun to come together as a community and enjoy time together outside of school! Thanks in advance for your support. I’m looking forward to seeing you all there!

Parent/Teacher conferences will be held on February 23 & 24. Please plan to attend these important meetings to learn about your student’s progress. Students do not attend school on these days.

Kindergarten Preview will be held at Prairie School on March 9. Two sessions will be held on this day. 8:45am – 10:00 will be for those with last names that begin with A-L and the 10:15-11:30 session will be for those with last names that begin with M-Z. Please share this information with anyone you know who has an incoming kindergartner. New kindergarten students must be registered at the district office.   We are looking forward to meeting all of the future Prairie Dogs! Current kindergartners will not attend school on this day.

We have seen a significant increase in the Prairie office in student tardies. Please work hard to have your students at school between 8:00-8:05 to allow them time to put their coats and backpacks away, order lunch and get organized for the day. We open the school doors each day at 8:00 to provide a smooth start to the day. Thank you in advance for your assistance with this important matter.

Thanks for you continued support! Prairie is great place for students to learn and grow because of the amazing partnership that exists between our staff and families!

Strategic Blueprint

  • District 203’s FOCUS 2020 Strategic Blueprint

Posted by Superintendent Dan Bridges at 6/27/2014
FOCUS 2020 is the strategic plan for comprehensive improvement between 2014 and 2020, designed in response to community feedback, best practice, and a vision for the future. Ultimately, this blueprint will advance the fulfillment of the district’s mission.

FOCUS 2020’s foundation is the Future Focus Community Engagement process that occurred over the course of a year where hundreds of members from across the community provided feedback to the district leadership regarding areas such as facilities, finances, measuring student success, and programs of study. Learn more about Future Focus by clicking on the specific “Quick Link” to the left of this text.

The Blueprint includes four “Strategic Focus” areas, namely to:
    1. Design and implement effective practices that promote learning experiences for all.
    2. Foster a high-performance culture focused on student learning.
    3. Steward resources effectively to promote student learning.
    4. Effective communication and community relations.
Each Strategic Focus then establishes “Commitments.” These commitments are what the district leadership pledges to accomplish within a distinct timeframe. Each commitment then includes a detailed “Action Plan” which will be accessible by the public upon final draft.

District administrators provided an update on Blueprint Commitments to the Board of Education at the July 27, 2015 meeting.  To watch that presentation, please click here
