Our Home & School Association is looking for volunteers to fill positions for the 2017-18 school year and could use your time and talents!


The open positions we have available are:

Staff Appreciation



Not sure you want to run a committee alone? No problem! Consider doing one of these positions with a friend!  It is a great place to meet people and get involved with your child’s school.

Winter Book Fair

When: Wednesday, February 22 – 24, 2017

Where: Scott School, LRC


Our winter book fair is coming this week!!

We will have a huge selection of books, something for every student’s interest!

Families can also purchase books for classroom libraries, to be enjoyed by all students!


 The book fair will be open at the following times:

Wednesday, February 22, 2017 from 2:30PM-5:00PM

Thursday, February 23 from 5PM-8:30PM

 Friday, February 24 from 8AM-12PM


We Need Your Help!

We need your help to make our winter book fair a success!  Please click on the following link to volunteer – an hour or more, any amount of time is greatly appreciated!

During the book fair, we will be collecting new and gently used books for our Free Little Libraries and for Andrea’s Angels.

The winner of our 2017 Winter Book Fair Bookmark Contest is……..

Kathryn P. from Mrs. Ryan’s 5th Grade Class!!

Kathryn’s winning design will be made into bookmarks and every student at Scott School will receive one this week to enjoy!


A big THANK YOU to all the students

who participated!  We had more than 40 entries and it was a tough contest to for the teachers to judge because all the entries were wonderful bookmark designs!!

Chicago Wolves Tickets!

When: Sunday, February 26, 2017, 3PM

Where: Allstate Arena


The Chicago Wolves Hockey team has given each student at our school a ticket to attend one of their high energy, fun filled, hockey games for FREE!  All of the students in District 203 are invited to attend the same game on Sunday, February 26th at 3PM.  Invite your friends to meet you for the game.  If you would prefer to go on another day, you are more than welcome to.

Dinner Night Out

When: February 28, 2017, 5:00PM – 8:00PM

Where: Potbelly Sandwich Shop- 236 S. Washington, Naperville


Come out and support Scott School at Potbelly Sandwich Shop from 5:00PM-8:00PM on Tuesday, February 28, 2017.  Potbelly has graciously agreed to donate 25% of ALL sales, during that time, back to Scott.  No flyer is necessary nor do you even have to be from Scott!  So all of your friends and family can enjoy a dinner out while supporting Scott School.

Parent Book Study!

When: Tuesday, February 28, 2017, 7:00PM

Where: NNHS Learning Commons, 899 North Mill Street, Naperville, IL 60563


As part of our family series on Social & Emotional Learning, District 203 will host facilitated discussion groups on parenting strategies.  Strengths Based Parenting: Developing Your Children’s Innate Talent gives practical and easily applied advice on identifying and understanding what children are naturally good at and where they thrive — not in their weaknesses. The book also helps parents discover their own innate talents and effectively apply them to their individual parenting style.



Elementary Honors Math, Project IDEA, and Project IDEA+ Overview

When: March 7, 2017, 6:30PM

Where: Meadow Glens School, 1150 Muirhead Avenue, Naperville, Il 60565


Tim Wierenga, Assistant Superintendent for Assessment and Analytics, and Deborah Cota, Coordinator of Gifted and Talented Services, will be presenting an overview of HM, PI, and PI+ including information for the continuum of these gifted services and the accelerated curriculum expectations.  For families of Grade 3 or Grade 4 students seeking placement in Grade 4 and Grade 5 Math, Project IDEA, or Project IDEA+.
