Daily Announcements

Here are the announcements for Monday, January 23, 2017

  • The day has finally arrived. Intramural bowling starts tonight! And you know what that means - it's time for another random bowling fact of the day!
  • Modern indoor bowling lanes made their debut in 1840 in New York City, twenty years before the Civil War. Back then, children known as pinboys set the pins back up by hand. Those jobs weren't replaced by automatic pinsetters until 1952 - that's after World War II!
  • If you haven't submitted your permission forms and check for $60, please bring those items to Lisle Lanes today. We begin at 3:15, and bowling shoes are included in the cost. Please have your rides ready to pick you up promptly at 5 P.M. See you at the lanes!
  • Attention 8th graders - would you like to get inside a giant plastic ball and knock your friends to the ground? Come to the 8th grade bash where bubble soccer will be available to all students. Friday, February 3, 6:30-8:30. Tickets are $5 each and go on sale Tuesday at lunch.
  • Girls Basketball Try-outs Begin - Tuesday, January 24th
  • 7th grade:  4-5:00 P.M.
  • 8th grade: 3-4:00 P.M.
  • All athletes must have a current sports physical on file in the office and their permission slip turned into their coach prior to tryouts.
  • Friday, January 27, join the Film and Lit Club for Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. You do not need to be in Film & Lit to come. If you like a fun movie night, bring a sleeping bag pillow, and some snacks for a fun night at WJHS. The movie will run from 4:30-7:15. See Mrs. Trannon or Mrs. Fors for a permission slip.
  • Our annual dining survey has launched. Visit the cafeteria to learn how you can take this survey for a chance to win Beats headphones. When you complete the survey you get a free cookie. Stop by the cafeteria for details.

  • Wildcats - have a GRRREAT week!
