Posted by Megan Ptak at 9/13/2016

    TALK203: Scheduling Parent/Teacher Conferences Online
Conference Dates: October 6th and October 7th

Fall 2016 Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held on Thursday, October 6 from 5 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. and on Friday, October 7 from 8 a.m. - noon. District 203 uses an online application called PTC Wizard for parent/teacher conference scheduling.

The portal is now open and closes on Thursday, September 29th at 3:00 p.m.

Please note that parents must have an Infinite Campus password before signing up for parent/teacher conferences.  Please see Infinite Campus Frequently Asked Questions.  Please allow several days to establish an account as District staff will need to mail you via U.S. Postal Service an access key and instructions on how to set up your Infinite Campus Portal account.

If there are problems establishing an Infinite Campus portal account, please call the Campus Portal Help Desk at 630-420-6825 or email campusportal@naperville203.org.

Accessing PTC Wizard for Parent/Teacher Conferences

To schedule conferences, parents will access the PTC Wizard Scheduling site at https://naperville203.ptcwizard.com.  The PTC Wizard Parent Guide (PTC Wizard Guía para los Padres) explains how to use PTC Wizard and answers login and other common questions. Click the link to access these documents:  http://naperville203.org/Page/3400

    Details regarding conference scheduling are:

    1) Parents will access PTC Wizard to schedule conferences.
    2) On-line conference scheduling is for grades K-12 (not early childhood).
    3) Parents will need to use their Infinite Campus Portal username and password to sign into PTC Wizard. (NOT their student’s name/password.)
    4) It is recommended that parents confirm their ability to log into the Infinite Campus system as soon as possible.
    5) Parents that do not yet have an Infinite Campus Portal username and password, or who have forgotten their username or password, should reference the PTC Wizard Parent Guide (PTC Wizard Guía para los Padres)  OR the Infinite Campus User Guide.
     6) PTC Wizard will automatically send emails to parents after scheduling conferences. Parents should verify that their email address is correct on the Infinite Campus Portal site under the “Contact Preferences” section.

If you are unable to schedule conferences due to limited internet access, contact your school for assistance.

Esperamos verlos.

  • Welcome Letter from Mrs. Ptak

Posted by Megan Ptak at 7/18/2016

    Dear Patriot Families,

It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that I write this introduction letter to you as the new Principal of Jefferson Junior High School.  In the short few weeks since I have taken on this role, I have already learned that I have joined a caring staff, welcoming community, and dedicated school district.  I promise to work hard and establish the relationships needed in order to continue the positive environment already established at Jefferson Junior High School.

The Jefferson community, staff and students will continue to focus on the mission of District 203:  to produce students who are self-directed learners, collaborative workers, complex thinkers, quality producers and community contributors.  I know through working together as a staff with each of you as our partners, Jefferson students will succeed with the District’s mission.  As Jefferson’s new principal, I look forward to meeting you and working along with you to establish a positive learning environment for your student.

I wish you a continued fun and relaxing summer.  See you as we journey into the 2016-17 school year.

    Cordially,
    Megan Ptak

Strategic Blueprint

  • District 203’s FOCUS 2020 Strategic Blueprint

Posted by Superintendent Dan Bridges at 6/27/2014
FOCUS 2020 is the strategic plan for comprehensive improvement between 2014 and 2020, designed in response to community feedback, best practice, and a vision for the future. Ultimately, this blueprint will advance the fulfillment of the district’s mission.

FOCUS 2020’s foundation is the Future Focus Community Engagement process that occurred over the course of a year where hundreds of members from across the community provided feedback to the district leadership regarding areas such as facilities, finances, measuring student success, and programs of study. Learn more about Future Focus by clicking on the specific “Quick Link” to the left of this text.

The Blueprint includes four “Strategic Focus” areas, namely to:
    1. Design and implement effective practices that promote learning experiences for all.
    2. Foster a high-performance culture focused on student learning.
    3. Steward resources effectively to promote student learning.
    4. Effective communication and community relations.
Each Strategic Focus then establishes “Commitments.” These commitments are what the district leadership pledges to accomplish within a distinct timeframe. Each commitment then includes a detailed “Action Plan” which will be accessible by the public upon final draft.

District administrators provided an update on Blueprint Commitments to the Board of Education at the July 27, 2015 meeting.  To watch that presentation, please click here
